About us

We develop and manufacture protective materials based on shear-thickening fluids.

Smart Fluid is a Polish technology spin-off company specializing in the development and implementation of innovative protective materials based on shear-thickening fluids (STF). STF technology utilizes the properties of non-Newtonian fluids, which, in response to sudden loads, impacts, or vibrations, dynamically change their mechanical properties, transitioning from a liquid state to a solid-like state, enabling effective energy absorption and dissipation.

Smart Fluid solutions originate from scientific research conducted at the Warsaw University of Technology and are developed with industrial, protective, and specialized applications in mind. The company focuses on modeling fluid parameters to meet specific application requirements and on effective methods for immobilizing STF.

We are testing Smart Fluid technology in areas such as protective materials, sports apparel and accessories, ballistic protection, safety components for industry and construction, vibration isolation, and components for the automotive and defense sectors. The company operates as part of the Qemetica group, whose goal is to commercialize STF technology and develop scalable production of materials intended for manufacturers of protective and technical products.

Concession No. B-066/2020

Smart Fluid has been granted License No. B-066/2020 to conduct business activities involving the manufacture of products for military or police use and the sale of such products.

Smart Fluid has an internal control system in place for the handling of goods of strategic importance.

AQAP 2110:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certificates issued by the WLO WAT Quality Certification Center

Smart Fluid has implemented an integrated quality management system certified to AQAP 2110:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 by the WLO WAT Quality Certification Center.
