Fluid rheology testing
The Smart Fluid Laboratory provides rheological measurement services using the Anton Paar MCR 102 rotational rheometer.
Fluid rheology testing
The Smart Fluid Laboratory is equipped with specialized testing equipment for measuring the viscosity of fluids and impact force absorption. An experienced research team provides support in designing experiments and interpreting results.
The testing station enables the determination of the rheological properties of liquid, viscoelastic, and elastic substances using selected measurement sequences:
-
Rotational tests with controlled shear stress and controlled shear rate (e.g., viscosity curves, yield curves, yield point, thixotropy);
-
Oscillatory tests, determination of G’, G’’, and η* curves, gelation point, measurements of normal stresses, and others;
-
Determination of thermal characteristics;
-
Determination of viscosity characteristics;
-
Determination of rheological properties under the influence of UV radiation in the 320–500 nm range.
-
Determination of time characteristics (step response and relaxation curves);
The tests are performed using a system of parallel plates with measuring spindle diameters (upper plate) of 20 mm and 40 mm.

The tests are performed under conditions of thermal stabilization of the lower plate using a Peltier system within a temperature range of -40 °C to +200 °C (for UV cells, from -20 °C to +200 °C).
The tests are performed by an experienced research team.
